Incubation - Support to Syrian Civil Society

 

This project aims to professionalize community-based organizations (CBOs) that are delivering services, encourage and support the creation and incubation of Syrian civic initiatives at the grassroots level. Such civic engagement can be strengthened by providing systematic, localized organizational development training on topics needed, providing resources and materials to fill knowledge gaps related to institutional management, and the consolidation of small organizations to formalize (to the extent possible) the work that is done and put it on a more sustainable footing.
Such support to local civic initiatives also needs to stimulate and encourage networking between initiatives to enhance the sharing of practical on-the-ground knowledge and expertise needed to improve the situation of the respective communities they engage in.
