Project Officer

Responsibilities:

 

• ▪ Implementing and supervising the operations of construction or repairing of the infrastructure in the targeted sites.
• ▪ Preparing and submitting the necessary technical study with related prices and quantities for repairing or construction works for the infrastructure in the targeted sites.
• ▪ Technical engineering evaluation for the received offers from suppliers to carry out construction or infrastructure repair work in the sites.
• ▪ Preparing draft purchase requests for the implementation of maintenance or construction work for the infrastructure in the targeted camps
• ▪ To work closely with the field coordinator, field team, and stakeholders to support the project implementation.
• ▪ Tracking the timing of the project activities implementation.
• ▪ Provide periodic status reports.
• ▪ Coordinate with all relevant departments, such as accounting, procurement & logistics, and MEAL.
• ▪ Supervise the CFW workers and organize their filed and all related job issues.
• ▪ Performing and implementing any other related duties assigned by the line manager.

 

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering is mandatory, a civil or architectural engineering degree is preferable.    

Technical skills and Experience:

 

1. Minimum three years of experience working with humanitarian organizations and implementing construction and repair activities for infrastructures.
2.  Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
4. Very good written and verbal English communication skills.
5.  Experience in Project Management (Project D pro).
6.  Experience in relief or development programs.
7.  Good command of MS Office programs.
8.  Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
9. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
